As part of the overall development process, Origin uses a four step process (discussed on the right) to ensure that the code is working to specification at the lowest level of detail.
We begin with a high level design document, referred to as a Solution Sheet. This is the document that our clients approve work for Origin to move forward to development. Clients also refer to this document when they craft their test script(s) for user acceptance. From the Solution Sheet, Origin will create a Scope Document, which defines the specific technical steps that must be taken to implement the solution.
Development begins once approval from the client is received and is undertaken by seasoned application knowledgeable developers under the guidance of experienced designers. The development of the code is undertaken in the clients environment either onsite or remotely depending upon the agreed approach and scope of work.
Origin’s unit testing covers all scenarios laid out in the Solution Sheet and the Scope Document, ensuring negative testing is appropriately applied. Once Unit testing is complete our development team will package the delivery ensuring it contains all appropriate source code, DMS files, Unit Test Plans and instructions for placing into the appropriate environments. Once code is delivered, Origin staff will perform the appropriate business tests before handing the module over to our clients for acceptance testing. The Origin testing also ensures the code application process works as expected and that there are no technical issues with regards to code delivery and/or installation.
