Mark L. Black

Mark, serving as President/CEO of Origin, has over 24 years of application consulting experience, applying business improvement and information technology initiatives to meet critical client objectives. He has experience across a broad range of industries, developing in-depth operational, management, technological and innovative capabilities.

Mark formed Origin in the fall of 2006, the third entrepreneurial venture of his career. Prior to forming Origin, Mark ran the largest and most profitable business portfolio (Eastern US and Canada, Latin America, Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean) for SPL WorldGroup, a privately held software company acquired by Oracle in 2006/07. Mark resides in Atlanta, GA, with his wife, Tamara.

Mark has a Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University.

Adam Grobe

Adam joined Origin as a Principal in our firm, with over 9 years experience in implementing Oracle’s Utility Customer Care and Billing, and Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise Revenue Management software products. Adam formerly worked for Oracle | SPL Utilities Global Business Unit where he was one of the most experienced Implementation Architects.

Adam is an expert in architecting business solutions for our utility clients using these software products, as well as a multi-dimensional leader in all facets of implementations and support related to CIS systems. Adam resides in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, with his wife, Jessica.

Adam obtained a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University in 1998.

Mike Roddie

Mike joined Origin as a Principal with over 15 years of experience in Management, Utilities and Wholesale Energy. Mike came to Origin from Oracle | SPL Utilities Global Business Unit where he excelled as one of the top Project Directors of major CIS Implementations in North America and Caribbean.

Mike’s experience spans electric, water, and gas in an international capacity in North America, the United Kingdom and the Caribbean. Mike resides in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Geraldine and his three children.

Mike received his undergraduate degree in Russian Language and European Studies and received his Masters Degree with Merit in Information Technology for Management both in the United Kingdom.

Jim Andrews

Jim joined Origin as a Principal and brings 23 years experience in planning, developing and integrating business and complex computer systems. Prior to Origin, Jim worked at Oracle | SPL Utilities Global Business Unit where he was an expert at all facets of CIS implementation and support.

Jim’s background in full life cycle development and implementation and professional experience across multiple industries produces a unique ability to guide businesses in aligning strategic business initiatives with existing and new software and hardware systems. Jim resides in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, with his wife Judie and his two children.

Jim received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science at the State University of New York at Albany. He continued there with Post-Graduate studies in Computer Science.
